HDQuali, in collaboration with Breasy and Lopes Consulting, wanted to carry out an in-depth survey on the perception of HR departments within companies, in response to the many recurring criticisms levelled at them. The aim of the survey was to better understand the origins of employees' frustrations and expectations of their HR teams, in order to identify areas for improvement.
The survey was carried out online between April 26 and May 15, 2024, among a nationally representative sample of 1,080 employees from companies with 50 or more employees. The quota method was used to guarantee representativeness in terms of gender, age, socio-professional category, region and sector of activity.
Employees were questioned on various aspects of HR services: their usefulness, their legitimacy, their communication, as well as interactions between managers and HR teams.
The survey shows that the perception of HR departments is not static, and can be improved through targeted actions. HDQuali, Breasy and Lopes Consulting propose concrete solutions to help companies better meet their employees' expectations and boost their efficiency.
