Duracell wanted to verify in-vivo and with a significant sampling, that children under the age of 7 could absolutely not open their battery packaging on their own.
Upon reflection, it became clear that the best way to deal with this problem was to invite the children participants to try to open the battery packs themselves. A quantitative study was the format best suited to the situation. To do this, we recruited 70 children in Lyon and 140 children in Paris, between 3 and 6 years old, who carried out a 15-minute test in the company of one of their parents.
The exercise therefore consisted of trying to open 2 button cell battery packages of 2 different brands, including Duracell, without the help of the adult.
To ensure the fluidity of the study, we managed all the logistics : purchase of materials to be tested, room reservations, recruitment of interviewers and supervisors, planning, welcoming families, compensation and quantification report.
Carried out in a very short time (5 days). As all the phases were centralized by HDQuali, this study allowed us to produce reliable and immediate results from 210 children.
